News Letter February 2010

Dear Parents and Pupils

Welcome to the February edition of The Aqua Academy News.

We have unfortunately experienced lesson cancellations on two separate occasions this term. The first was due to the blanket closure of The Boswell’s School on safety grounds as a result of the snow that we all encountered, and probably most of our pupils enjoyed, in January. The second was due to a failure in the pools CO2 pump, which made the water conditions unsuitable for use. As soon as the issue with the CO2 pump was identified the maintenance team at the school called in the engineers, who I am pleased to report have now corrected the issue.

To replace the lesson missed due to the snow we will be running an additional lesson on the 21st February. However, we are unfortunately unable to offer an alternative date for the lesson missed due to the pump failure last week, and will therefore be offering all pupils a lesson credit against their renewal fee for next term as compensation.

Please accept our apologies for the disruptions and often late notification of these cancellations. As soon as we become aware that our lessons can’t run for any reason we will attempt to contact all pupils or parents as soon as possible. Key to this notification process is ensuring that we have your correct contact details. We have therefore attached to the end of this news letter a tear-off slip for you to provide us with your current details.
